Absent Minded

I have been caught up in the business of making money to support my sailing habit. Welcome to the off-season...Where all I can do is look at other websites and think of those who are still on the water sailing and racing in climates much more tolerable than ours.

I will be posting during the off-season but much less frequent. I did attend the Basin Race committee meeting last night to discuss intra club stuff. Nothing of substance and importance.

As soon as I get caught up and can devote some time to resource scrounging I will post some more finds on the web. Most likely will review basics again and then get into some of the particular issues that we had this year.

It's frightful down here in Nuevo Mexico with all the snowstorms and bad weather. We haven't been sailing since New Year's Day.

I couldn't resist poking to see how long your weblog and Gray Jay will be hibernating, and how far sailing may have strayed from your thoughts during the darker days of winter.

I love the blog that you have. I was wondering if you would link my blog to yours and in return I would do the same for your blog. If you want to, my site name is American Legends and the URL is:

www.americanlegends.blogspot.com

If you want to do this just go to my blog and in one of the comments just write your blog name and the URL and I will add it to my site.

Thanks,
David

Hi Pat,

I have been hibernating, although the winter here does not seem like winter. No snow...balmy weather. Kind of wish I had a crane to put the boat back in and do some serious sailing. Unfortunately it has been busy and I have not had much chance to write. I am hoping thigs settle down a bit and I can get back to what is really important in life....sailing!!

Some of our lakes don't have launching cranes -- only mast-raising poles -- so we have to have our trailers set up for ramp launching. The good news is that means we can be pretty flexible and independent about when we launch. And, our lower-elevation lakes don't freeze in the winter, so we're pretty spoiled.

Hi there,
“Sailing is more than a hobby”, I agree with this statement. I think many people enjoy your post about sailing on this site, including myself. But the site is too long not being updated.
Keep sailing guy, and keep posting. We are all really enjoy it!
Thanks.
