New Skin... Graphics Design Version 1

The hull and logo needs a good revamp. The previous owner also was nice enough to paint his markings on with some kind of paint...think it has been there for a good 18 years and is pretty weathered.

I have to find a way to get the stuff off and re-finish the hull. Lots of work ahead for spring. Already thinking spring and the boat is not even out of the water yet! So this is my first attempt at graphics for next year. Still a rough idea and will be working on this throughout the winter months.

Any comments welcome.

Hey All,

As I don't know much about sailing, yet it interests me, I haven't posted before, bt I have to say I really like the look of the "new skin".

Very classy, yet strong and still says competative. Also like the thought of simply using grays... for 2 reasons.

1. The Name of the boat.

2. I am sick of seeing brightly coloured speedboats. Everything you see on the water is Yellow, Red or Blue and often makes a really nce looking boat look not so nice and sometimes cheap.

That's my 2 cents.

Hey Skip!

I have it on good authority that oven cleaner is the safest way to remove paint from the boat - it shouldn't damage the gel coat.

p.s. I pick up my MacGregor next week. Roll on 'Docks In'!!!

John, Thanks for the comment...keep sending them in. I will have more designs in the near future. I realized after that this one will not necessarily work. I have to keep in mind how the design works on both sides. I was errantly working on one side only and did not consider the other side. Will re-work the design to be more symetrical so it works.
